Drinkin' for Good

DC is a drinkin' town: Home of the Happy Hour. Sometimes its just hard to network your way onto the hill without lubing up first. Other times you need to drown the misery of 9-5 in front of a computer screen. But most times, it's just fun.

In the beginning...

there was fun, but then somehow the good times got lost in the bustle of the capital city where we are all scrounging to build our resumes and, just maybe, make some real change in the world.

Somehow, even our social lives seem overburdened. We get dozens of emails a week, just for "fun" stuff: happy hours, concerts, openings, films, parties, and the like. That doesn't even account for the gchat status messages that include flippant invites to spontaneous festivities.

It's hard to keep track of all the frivolity. This is where you'll find updates on interesting and enriching things to do in DC.

Think of it as a guide to freevolity and other fun.

Cheers,
Mary Jo
